New LVL Community Events: Creating Joy, Connection, and Community for Single Mothers
New LVL Community Events are designed to bring single mothers and their children together in spaces that foster joy, connection, and belonging. These events create opportunities for families to step away from daily pressures and participate in meaningful outings that encourage community, companionship, and shared celebration. By gathering families with similar experiences, we help reduce isolation and create supportive networks where mothers feel seen, valued, and supported.
Through family-centered experiences such as theme parks, county fairs, sporting events, and local attractions, New LVL Community Events create lasting memories while strengthening parent-child bonds. These moments allow children to experience fun and normalcy, while mothers are celebrated for the resilience and dedication they show every day in creating positive, joyful spaces for their families.

BACKPACK DRIVE
The New LVL Backpack Drive is designed to support students and families by providing backpacks filled with essential school supplies to help children start the school year prepared and confident. This initiative eases financial stress for parents while promoting educational stability and success for students. By meeting a basic need with care and intention, the Backpack Drive helps families focus on learning, growth, and opportunity.

The New LVL Toy Drive supports children and families by providing toys that are thoughtfully wrapped, ensuring every child receives a gift with care, intention, and dignity during the holiday season. This initiative helps ease financial stress for parents while allowing children to experience the joy and excitement of receiving a beautifully wrapped gift. By focusing on presentation as well as access, the Toy Drive creates meaningful moments that honor families and celebrate the spirit of the holidays.

2025 Backpack Drive
This year’s Backpack Drive at Skyline Park & Recreation Center was a true community celebration! Over 200 families joined us, and each child had the chance to pick out their own personal school supplies along with a brand-new backpack. Families also connected with community resources while enjoying a day full of fun — from a food truck and dessert truck to a jumper, face painting, and a photo booth.
A huge thanks to the Skyline Park & Rec staff for their amazing partnership and support, with a special thanks to the Recreation Center Director for helping make this event possible! A special shoutout goes to our official sponsor, Mission Fed, who provided on-site support by offering Second Chance Bank Accounts — with many families opening accounts the very same day.
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event a success. Together, we’re building stronger futures for our community.
2025 Wrapping Party
The New LVL Wrapping Party was a community-centered event created to ensure every child received a holiday gift that was thoughtfully wrapped with care, intention, and dignity. This event reflects New LVL’s commitment to improving the dignity of services and honoring families through intentional, respectful delivery of support.
This event would not have been possible without the generosity of Toys for Tots, who provided the toys that served as the foundation of the celebration. Their support ensured children were able to experience the joy, excitement, and magic of the holiday season through meaningful gifts.
The Women of the Club at the University Club generously sponsored the wrapping event, creating a warm and welcoming space where each gift could be carefully wrapped and prepared. Their sponsorship helped ensure that families received beautifully presented gifts that honored both the children receiving them and the parents who deserve the opportunity to provide something special for their families.
Together, these partnerships transformed donated toys into personalized expressions of care, reinforcing the power of community collaboration and New LVL’s mission to uplift families with dignity, compassion, and purpose.
2025 Toy Drive
The New LVL Toy Drive was a community-centered holiday initiative designed to ensure children and families experienced joy, dignity, and meaningful support during the holiday season. The event was held at Skyline Park and Recreation Center in partnership with the City of San Diego, providing an accessible and welcoming space for families to gather, connect, and celebrate.
This effort would not have been possible without the generosity of Toys for Tots, whose provision of toys served as the foundation of the Toy Drive and ensured children were able to experience the joy, excitement, and magic of the holiday season. Their support made it possible for families to receive meaningful gifts during a time that can be financially and emotionally challenging.
In addition, the Women of the Club at the University Club played a critical role in the success of the event. Through their sponsorship and hands-on support, they ensured every gift was wrapped with love, dignity, and intention—transforming donated toys into meaningful expressions of care for children and families.
Together, these partnerships allowed New LVL to deliver a Toy Drive rooted not only in generosity, but in dignity, compassion, and community connection. Each wrapped gift represented more than a holiday item—it symbolized support, belonging, and a shared commitment to uplifting families during the holiday season.
